Role Overview
As a SAP Basis Consultant (Full-time/Contractor) at K5 Business, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting our clients' SAP technical landscapes. You will ensure optimal system performance, reliability, and security, and you will play a key role in delivering successful SAP S/4HANA and cloud migration projects.
Key Responsibilities
• Administer SAP systems (ECC, S/4HANA, BW, PI/PO) and underlying
databases (MaxDB, HANA, Etc.)
- Plan and execute system installations, upgrades and kernel patches
- Monitor system performance; tune and optimise as required
- Manage transports, client copies and system refreshes
- Implement high-availability, disaster-recovery and backup strategies
- Troubleshoot technical issues across application and OS layers
- Collaborate with Basis, Security and Infrastructure teams
- Produce technical documentation and handover packs
- Provide on-call and project-support when required
Required Skills & Experience
- 5 + years SAP Basis experience in multinational environments
- Hands-on expertise with SAP S/4HANA migrations and conversions
- Strong knowledge of UNIX/Linux, Windows and database platforms (Oracle, HANA, MS SQL)
- Proven track record with SAP Transport Management and Solution Manager
- Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and cloud-native deployments
- Solid scripting skills (Shell, PowerShell) for automation
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Qualifications & Attributes

Citizenship in Mauritius
- SAP Basis or System Administration Certifications (preferred)
- ITIL Foundation certification (advantageous)
- Proactive, self-motivated and able to work under pressure
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Team-player with client-facing experience
