Position: Computational Genomics, Statistical Bioinformatics Expert (PhD) Type:Contract
Compensation:$120/hour
Location:Remote
Role Responsibilities
- Complete realistic, multi-step scientific data-analysis tasks in computational genomics, quantitative biology, and translational biomedicine.
- Independently inspect datasets, perform quality control, and execute analyses in R and Python.
- Navigate ambiguous research workflows by identifying key analytical decisions and potential confounders.
- Use scientific software, code, and command-line tools to generate reproducible analyses and structured outputs.
- Interpret results in the context of biological or translational questions, communicating assumptions and conclusions.
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of scientists and AI research specialists.
Qualifications
Must-Have
- PhD in computational biology, bioinformatics, statistical genetics, quantitative biology, biostatistics, genomics, or related field.
- Deep experience analyzing biological or biomedical data, especially genomics and related omics datasets.
- Professional fluency in R and Python.
- Strong foundation in statistical modeling and experimental design.
- Experience with multi-step computational research workflows.
- Clear scientific writing and documentation skills.
Preferred
- Familiarity with reproducible research practices, including notebooks, scripts, and version control.
